Cadillac Repair: 1995 Cadillac Seville STS belt, cadillac seville sts, 1995 cadillac seville sts

My husband is trying to get the original belt back around all 6 pullys and following the digragm on engine, but belt is too short.  He has called part stores, repair people and they tell him the part number is correct.  The belt is the same one that came off yesterday.  Can you help?
