I have a 1994 Cadillac STS with a Northstar engine. The AC computer chip has gone out in the past & I replaced it with a used one. However, it never seemed to be as cool as it was before. Where can I find an aftermarket chip brand new? The ones from Cadillac are $1,000.00 just for the chip.

What is an AC computer chip ?. I am probably not using the right name for it. It is the electronic chip that controls the distribution of the air inside the car. It opens the appropriate ducts for heat or cooling. It is found under the glove box.
