I have a 1994 Cadillac SLS and the problem I am having is when I put the Vehicle in any gear foward or reverse it moves,but the rpm's rise real high, up to about 35 to 4000 rpm's before the vehicle starts to move,but it will move,where do I need to start or what do I need to do to correct this problem. It was shifting fine until it gets hot and I'll let it cool off and start it back up and it will shift fine until it gets hot again meaning the trans. gets hot, not the engine.. The trans. is the 4T80E.Engine size 4.6L Northstar.

AnswerCheck your computers for diagnostic CODES.
1. Ignition ON. Engine OFF.
2. Simultaneously push the OFF and WARMER buttons for 3 seconds and release them.
3. CODES will start to appear, I need to know EVERY code in the EXACT way they dispaly no matter how many times they display. I need ALL the letters and numbers that display. When they stop displaying, Turn off the ignition.
