Cadillac Repair: A/C works when it wants too, northstar v8, center vent

Question
Hello, I have a 1994 Eldorado Touring Coupe with the 4.6L Northstar V8. Starting sunday the Air Conditioning started to simply not turn on. The Climate Control center said that it was on Auto, and when I hit the fan switch to manually put the fan up high it indicated that it did, but no air came out the front vents. THERE WAS air coming out of the center vent located under the arm rest for the rear passengers. After a few miles, the air simply came on and blew like nothing was wrong. It's done this everyday since, either working right away or not working for miles down the road. It seems to be whenever it feels like turing on, it comes on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
You either have a fault in the blower motor or the Power module.

I can e-mail you illustrations and instructions on how to replace these items.

However, You will need to contact me at:

In order for me to provide you with pictures and and electrical schematic to find and fix your problem since this board does not allow sending pictures.

PLEASE include your original question(s) and the MAKE-MODEL-YEAR and ENGINE SIZE of your vehicle when you contact me.

PLEASE tell me if you do your own repairs and or your skill level of auto repair. This is VERY VERY important if I am to be able to help you repair your own vehicle or have to take it into the shop for repairs.
