Cadillac Repair: 1993 Cadillac Eldorado wont start, throttle position sensor, cadillac eldorado

Question
Yes, I have spark and fuel.  My concern is why does the accelerator pedel jump up and down when I simply put the key in the switch. It didn't do that last week when the car ran well.

Question -
I have a 93 Eldorado that will not start.  When I put the key in the ignation switch the accelerator pedel begains to jump up and down. There's a clicking noise under the hood, probably a solinoid of some kind moving the accelerator pedel. This movement stops after about 15-20 seconds.  The engine turns over but simply will not start or even act like it wants to start.  Any ideas?

Answer -
First you have to determine if you have FUEL and spark to the spark plugs.

Answer
You either have a faulty THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS) and or a faulty IDLE SPEED CONTROL MOTOR (ISC).

We need to do some computer tests first.

1. Ignition ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons for 3 seconds and then release them.

3. CODES will start to display. Write them down in the EXACT order in which they display and let me know what they are.

4. turn ignition OFF.

If you did not get all the codes CORRECTLY. repeat this same procedure.
