Thank you .My codes have never been erased. How do i erase them . my car is 1989 cadillac Seville.The codes now are B120-121-124-127 and E022-024-038-052-059. Please let me know what these codes are. I want to clear them and try again . Also where does the egr valve plug to.
AnswerLets CLEAR the codes first and see what comes back.
1. Ignition ON. Engine OFF.
2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons until the whole dispaly illuminates and then release the buttons.
3. the codes will start to appear and will stop at ECM?
4. Push the HI button and wait until ECM DATA appears.
5. keep pushing the LO button until you see ECM CLEAR CODES.
6. Push the HI button and you will see ECM CODES CLEAR and wait 3 seconds and then push RESET.
7. This will CLEAR your "E" codes.
to clear the "B" codes
1. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons until the whole dispaly illuminates and then release the buttons.

4. Push the HI button until BCM DATA? appears.
5. keep pushing the LO button until you see BCM CLEAR CODES.
6. Push the HI button and you will see BCM CODES CLEAR and wait 3 seconds and then push RESET.
7. This will CLEAR your "B" codes.
Turn OFF ignition and wait 5 minutes and then go drive the car and see if any codes reappear.
