Cadillac Repair: erasing check engine light, check engine light

Question
I have a 95 deville w/4.9 engine. I will be installing the service
ride control bypass and would like to know how to erase the
codes if necessary. It also has history of codes; p052, p091,
I027, I039, I052. Any help you can provide will be greatly
appreciated. john

Answer
1. ignition ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons until the whole display illiminates and release the buttons.

3. Wait until you see PCM?

4. Push the HI button and you will see PCM CODES?

5. continue pushing the LO button until you see PCM CLEAR CODES?

6. Push the HI button and yu will see PCM CODES CLEAR.

7. Wait 3 seconds for codes to clear and PCM CODES will appear.

8. Push the LO buuton until you see IPC?

9. Push the HI button and you will see IPC DATA?

10. keep pushing the LO button until you see IPC CLEAR CODES?

11. Push the HI button and you will see IPC CODES CLEAR.

12 wait 3 seconds for the codes to clear.

13. Shut OFF ignition.
