Cadillac Repair: fuel gange reads E constently, fuel sending unit, constently

Question
i have a 92 fleetwood caddy, reads "E" all the time even when full, help, what is the problem.

Answer
There is either a faulty:

gas gage.
instrument cluster.
fuel sending unit in the fuel tank.
open or shorted wire from the gas gage to the fuel tank.

Therefore you will need some test procedures and pictures to follow.
