Do i need to remove the back seat, remember the door is locked and can not be opened either inside or outside.  Is there a way to get the panel off without opening the door?

Good afternoon, the problem i have is my rear right side passenger door would not open manually from the outside, the child locks was engaged, and now it will not open either electronically or manaully. What can i do myself to fix this problem, the dealer wants $500 plus to fix it.  Thanks.

Answer -
apparently the ROD came off of the outside handle. You will need to remove the inside door panel to put the loose rod back on.

Ok then what you need to do is unlock it by sliding a coat hanger down beside the window inside the door channel and unlock the latch. Any body shop will do it for you as it only takes a minute and a couple of dollars. If you know someone who has a SLIM JIM this tool is easier yet.
