Cadillac Repair: belt, radiator support, cadillac sts

we have 1993 cadillac sts the belt broke and notice the belt tensioner was bad . we don't know if we put the belt on wrong or what but we can't seem to get the belt back on. can you help me please

Check to make sure the tensioner was installed correctly,also make sure you have the correct belt,i have noticed that the new belts have been made slightly shorter for the northstar if in fact you have a northstar,if that is the engine you have then there is an updated idler pulley availible that is slightly smaller than the original.also make sure the belt routing is correct,there should be a diagram on the radiator support cover.
