I have a thumping noise in the front end on my 95 deville, 4.9 engine, I have replaced the front shocks, and the dog bone on the top engine mount. any suggestions as to what might be the problem, I can not find the lower engine mounts.

Hi,Bill

The noise that you are hearing,is a noise like a rotational noise when your driving?,is it a noise stopped and idling?,or is it a noise that happens over bumps?let me know so i can give you some ideas and come up with a fix,Thanks

ED

I have checked the things that you mentioned, but could not find any obvious thing wrong, I think that I have some play in the tie rod ends, but I'm not sure that that is the nowise that I hear.

Also my clinmate control on the outside temp jumped to 127 degrees, is that a code for something wrong.

The swaybar end links are hard to visually inspect for wear, they need to removed and checked, due to the suspension keeping tension on them.
The ambient temp:does it reamin at that temp or does it reset to normal after key is off then on again?you may have a failing ambient temp sensor.

The temp stays the same, on the sway bar, I assume that I'm looking at the right thing, is it connected to the A frame then to the body

As for the ambient temp sensor problem,it sounds like the sensor is failing, this sensor is located behind the ft grill and is attached to the radiator support at the hood latch brace, has 2 wires and a connector.
The ft swaybar end links are attatched to each of the ft struts then attach to the bar itself that runs across the rear portion of the engine cradle behind the steering gear.
