Cadillac Repair: problems with my belt, cadillac seville, 1992 cadillac seville

Question
i replaced the idler pulley. the tension pulley and the tension itself. i also changed the alternator on my 1992 cadillac seville but my belt keeps sliding off for some reason. what else could the problem be?

Answer
When you start replacing components sometimes you have to add shims (washers in order to get the new component aligned with the rest of the belt driven components. It is not an easy job to align these components when you have never had to do it before.
