Cadillac Repair: Caddy engine repair, head gasket, gasket

I have a 1984 Seville with standard engine. I am going to change/replace the head gasket. Any big problems I should be looking out. I have a friend who will help and he is experienced with imports but I think we should be able to do it.

You NEVER EVER replace only ONE head gasket, You MUST replace BOTH or you will have problems.

You ARE going to have problems with getting the pipe that goes from the water pump into the intake re-installed as the manufacturer made a part change in this pipe and without the revised "KIT" you are not going to get it to seal correctly.
