Cadillac Repair: 1989 Cadillac Deville air compressor, jumper wire, cadillac deville

I installed a new compressor on my 1989 deville and charged it with freon.  It worked for about an hour then stopped.  I replaced the filter and charged the system again.  Still not working.  I ran a jumper wire from the battery to the compressor to check if the compressor was working.  It was and blowing cold air.  I pulled the battery cable to reset the computer but still nothing.  Fuses are all good.  Is there a relay switch somewhere that might be bad.

How much refrigerant oil did you use.

How much freon did you use.

Did you evacuate all the air out of the system BEFORE you charged it with freon ?.

Did you replace any other components ?.
