Cadillac Repair: 1999 AIR CONDITIONING ISSUE, r 134a refrigerant, electronic leak detector

Hello,

I own a 1999 Fleetwood Limited.  Although I followed the instructions in terms of installing R 134A refrigerant into the low port, the air will not get cooler.  Before I tried to install the refrigerant, I was receiving a message on my computer indicating that the refrigerant level was low.  At this point, this message has dissapeared, but I cant get any cold air.

Depending upon how much freon that you had to add to the system depends upon how much atmospheric air has entered into the system due to the leak that you must have if you are having to add freon.

You might have to discharge all the freon, evacuate the system of atmospheric air via a vacuum pump, Add 2 cans of freon, Check for laeks using an electronic leak detector, Fix the leak, Re-evacuate the system and then recharge the system.
