Cadillac Repair: Model recommendations, lincoln town car, chevy blazers

Question
Wow.  I wasn't expecting that, but I do most sincerely appreciate it.   I was imagining a recommendation of the 97-99 Devilles or something.

Being a mechanic, may I ask what brands you DO recommend?   I also have a Volvo, a VW, and a BMW, but the most troublefree vehicles I've owned were Japanese (Honda).  Your thoughts?

Thanks again!

Hello.
I am pondering the purchase of a Caddy as my next car.   I own a 92 Lincoln Town Car now.

My question is terribly typical, I'm afraid.  Which model(s) would you recommend and which would you steer away from?   My 3 concerns (again, typical) are safety, reliability and luxury, in that order.
Any help you can shed would be VERY much appreciated.   Thank you for your professional opinion.

Sincerely yours,
Ken

Personal and professional opinion is that you stay with purchasing another Lincoln. Cadillac still does not have their HEADS together in building a reliable vehicle that you can depend on and not go broke trying to keep it running.

I own 5 vehicles in my family and you won't find a Cadillac in the group.

Answer
I have worked at dealerships that sold Fords, Cadillac, Chevy, Chrysler, British Leyland, Buick, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Nissan and the LEAST problematic vehicle that I have ever encoutered was the British Leyland and the Nissan products.

Cadillac was the WORST for oil leaks, break downs and constant repairs of any vehicle I have ever worked on.

I would stay with the foreign vehicles until such time that the american people wise up and stop spending thousands of dollars on repairs to american made vehicles when you would spend less than 1/3rd of this money on foreign made vehicles.

Fortunately I can work on my own vehicles which are 2 Fords, 2 chevy blazers and 1 Jeep.

There is my opinion.
