Question -
I have a 1990 Cadillac Seville.
When driving the car loses power after about 2-3 minutes and can barely get past 30 mph.  Even when idleing at that point you can tell that there is a power loss.

I have tested the distributor components and all appear to be within range.  The only ecm code I receive is a B334 which leads me to believe that the computer needs swapped out for new.  I have good plugs and new wires also.  Could an O2 sensor or EGR valve be at fault?
Answer -
The first thing I would suspect would be an exhaust restriction.

New exhaust has been installed.

Answer
I don't have a 91 book so I don't know what the B334 code means. If you have the book, Perform the test procedures BEFORE you even think about replacing the BCM.

Let's say that you have a shorted wire or other component that sends and or receives a signal from the computer and this caused  the computer to fail.

If you just plug in a new computer without fixing this problem, You could FRY the new computer.

The closest book that I have is an 89 and this code is caused by a faulty or SHORTED A/C clutch circuit. If you do NOT perform the test procedures to fix the cause of the code FIRST you can FRY the new computer.

QUESTION: Is it possible that a wire for the A/C compressor or other wire got pinched or has burnt against the new exhaust when it was installed ?.
