Cadillac Repair: ac condinsate pouring into passenger area, screw driver, drain tube

Question
1997 SLS

I recently had 2 incidents happen to my vehicle.  I picked up a heavy object off the highway and it gave a larg bang to the undercarriage of the car.  2nd  A few weeks ago my fan made a funny sound, a noticible hum, and shortly after that it sounded like there was a leaf stuck in the blades of the fan.  I figured it would work it's way out but I am not so sure it was a leaf.  I found a spring on the floor as well as a piece of black plastic.  The problem:  When the car is on flat ground I will not see condinsation yet parked with the front faceing downhill I do.  I ran the air for a time then drove up the street and water just poured out of the area were the coil sits on the passenger side. The Question:   Is there any controll for the condensate line were a spring would be envolved or is it always wide open?  The object I picked up in the road, could that have relocated the condinsate drain tube to a higher position so there is to much condensate collection therefore the overflow?

Thanks,
Steve

It is water and not antifreeze coming in.

Answer
Check the drain tube located on the BOTTOM of the evaporator casing exterior to the vehicle as it has most likely been damaged and or is just plugged up with debris. Stick your finger or a long SOFT straw or similar device up into the tube to remove the debris.

DO NOT use a ridgid item such as a long screw driver as you can puncture the bottom of the evap as it is only made of aluminum.
