1992 seville.
defroster comes on. all the other gauges line out.

check engine comes light comes on.

we had the dash repaired for a cluster problem.

did nothing. codes come back loss of data.
pcm seems to not be talking to the others computer.
data line is not working.

do you think pcm computer is cause or short somewhere else.

Obviously there is something wrong within the wiring where you performed your work.

What mechanical work or ANY kind of work has been performed on the vehicle recently ?. As most problems that occur after a recent repair was made can be traced back to the area of where the repair was made as a vacuum line may have been knocked loose or a wire connection came loose, Look around in the area where work was performed.
