Cadillac Repair: No climate control-83 Cadillac Fleetwood 4.1, cadillac fleetwood, climate control

Question
It appears that there is no power to the climate control module(no indicators lit). The fuse shown in the schematic is good. My manual is not of much help in this area. Additionally, the service soon/service now indicators come on while the vehicle is running, but I cannot access the codes using the climate control module. The vehicle has just over 160K miles and the engine was rebuilt at about 90K.
Your help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill

Answer
OK, You have a problem with either the:

1. CCDIC (Climate Control Driver Information Center) display.

2. The A/C-Heater programmer.

3. The IPC (Instrument Panel Control of which provides illumination for the CCDIC.

4. The vehicles computer.

5. A fault in any of the wire connections of the above components.

ALL these will require expert diagnostic testing using the appropriate manufacturers service manual and a skilled technician.

I wish I could give you the answer but the tests MUST be done in order to determine the fault.
