Cadillac Repair: 1978 CADILLAC ELDORADO FUEL INJ. 5.7, test ecm, cadillac eldorado

FIRST DIO WAS NO FIRE,PLENTY OF FUEL PRESSURE.COULD NOT FIND RIGHT PICK-UP FOR DIST.ENDED UP REPLACING WHOLE DIST.UPON REPLACEMENT GOT FIRE BACK BUT NO IJECTOR PULSE.HAD A TEST ECM AND DID NOT MAKE DIFFERENCE.I AM NOT ABLE TO USE MY SCANNER TO THIS VEHICALE AND ALL-DATA DOES NOT GO BACK THAT FAR.MY QUESTION IS,IS THE BLACK BOX IN CENTER OF FIRE WALL A FUEL INJ. CONTROLL MOD?THE DIST. HAS A SENSOR IN THE SHAFT THAT GOES TO THIS BOX.CAR WOULD START ON EATHER.

Are you ABSOLUTELY positive that the TEST ECM is GOOD or are you just ASSUMING IT IS ?.

If you have NO injector fire this would be a fault of the distributor sensor and or the magnets under the sensor that are attached to the distributor have come off.

E-mail me a picture of this black box on the firewall.


NOTE: If you run the vehicle WITHOUT the vacuum line attached to the computer for ANY AMOUNT of time, You will destroy the computer.
