Cadillac Repair: Deville 96 - Oil Pressure Light Blinking, check oil level, crankshaft bearings

After changing my EGR Valve, my Oil Pressure Light started blinking after short drives and while the car is idle in a Red Light or a Stop Sign ... When the card is on the move or if I am driving on the freeway, there is no problem and the Oil Pressure Light doesn't blink ... I didn't get any warning in regards to the "Check Oil Level" ... Appreciate your help as I am worried that this might cause more serious engine problems ... Thanks ...

Unlees the nEW EGR valve that you installed is faulty and is causing the engine idle speed to become very slow your problem is most likely internal engine problems such as main crankshaft bearings or rod bearings or a worn oil pump with excessive wear dropping your oil pressure.

You need to put an external oil pressure gage on the vehicle to see if the oil pressure is within factory specifications FIRST.
