Cadillac Repair: 1993 Cadillac Deville, turn signal switch, cadillac deville

Question
Turn signals stopped working all together.  I checked the fuse and it's appears ok.  Any suggestions?

Hi John, That is usually what happens when the flasher goes bad. The indicator might light on the dash but not flash. Try your 4 way/hazzard lights to see if they work. If they do then it is probably the flasher and replaceing it should get the lights working again. If the hazzards also don't work then it could be a defective turn signal switch in which case the steering column will need to come apart to replace the switch. The flasher is located somewhere around the steering column area under the dash and sometimes they get hidden behind a harness or bracket. To help in your search put on the hazzards and see what flasher makes noise and replace the other flasher. Hope that gets things working again. Bill
