Cadillac Repair: new owner of a 94 Eldorado northstar, eldo, hi mike

I just bought a 94 eldo. But I think I got bit, I got it for 1400.00 the body is in very good condition, the interior is ok, the engine and tranny seem petty stong. The engine idles high at first then settles down but that ok I think.
The guy told me it will need a new strut soon but I didnt think that would be a prob, he didnt know if it was the front left or the back left, he just got it at the lot. Also the temp control wont stay off it keeps activating the auto feature and stays set at 75 degrees. If the engine, tranny and body is good and I got it for 1400, did I do too bad, even thought i need new struts?

Hi Mike, That sounds like a good deal to me. To give you peace of mind google over to cars.com and in the blue bar at the top click on research and then enter the info. Then you will get a value for your car. It looks like in my zip code with 150000 miles it would sell from a private party for $3440 so you would still have room to install a strut and align. the car afterwards. Maybe it will be more in your area. Bill
