Cadillac Repair: Service engine soon light comes on then off, service engine soon light, trans shop

Hello Bill:
Just in case I should tell you this is a followup question. To the intermittent "service engine soon" light, with code P056 on a '93 Eldorado
w/ Northstar.  Would it be adviseable to take the car to a "reputable" transmission place like AAMCO to check for faulty or loose wireing?, or should I take it back to the shop it recently came out of?, even though when I called them yesterday they said they don't work on transmissions at all.Oh yea, also, I alredy talked to the dealer who sold it to me and he is not willing to help, but thanks for the sugestion any ways.  And as usual, any and all sugestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Manny, This might be a case of needing to take it to 2 shops to get the problem fixed. If the trans shop can't diagnos a wireing problem to an area outside the trans and repair it then I would have the first shop double check things and make sure the problem is inside the trans. Then take it to the trans shop and let them do what they do best...repair whats broke inside it. Bill
