Cadillac Repair: Idler Pulley, pulley bolt, tensioner pulley

The idler pulley on my 91 Cadillac V-8 is making a noise... how can I change it out?

Hi Darrell, First use a 1/2" breaker bar to move the tensioner pulley and remove the serpentine belt. Then with a 15mm wrench remove the bolt holding the idler pulley. reverse the procedure to install and torque the pulley bolt to around 30 ftlbs. Sometimes the belt is the cause of noise. Bill
