Cadillac Repair: 85 cadillac sedan de ville (electrical), fuel pump relay, fuel gauge

all lighting in instrument panel not working except warning lights. the speedometer, a/c,radio, digital fuel economy gaugeand fuel gauge does not work. It all went out when i was replacing the fuel pump relay. there was a ticking noise coming from in the glove box.and all the lights for the listed above started blinking on and off with the ticking noises.       also, the no charge light comes on after yo0u run the car for about 30 serconds.or when you give it gas.

Hi Anthony, Double check the wireing around the relay area that you didn't pinch a wire and cause a fuse to blow. Then check all the fuses in the accessory panel below the glovebox and also the fuses in the panel by the parking brake pedal. The fuse might look good but have no power going to it so it would be best to remove each fuse after checking them with a 12 volt testlight to make sure that power isn't backfeeding from another componant.
