Cadillac Repair: Serpentine belt for 4.9L, 91 Deville, auto parts store, routeing

I recently had my accessory/serpentine belt break, and when I went to replace it the part I got from the auto parts store was 86.5 inches, but the belt that fit was a 74 inch belt.  The alternator, the motor, the A/C, and the PS are the only things in the loop... should there be a 5th rotator?  Any guesses as to what's going on?  I'm not the first owner, could something have been removed?  Thanks

Hi Logan, Double check the belt routeing because you can install belts around all the pullys but still have belt left over. The correct routeing starting with the crankshaft and going clockwise is crank, idler, alt, tensioner, p/s, a/c, waterpump and back to the crankshaft. Hope that helps. Bill
