Hi John, If this was in my shop the first thing I would do is while holding the switch in the down position give 3 or 4 good raps with my fist on the door panel in the center and if the window went down then replace the motor. Then get a wiring diagram and a 12volt test light or voltmeter and test for power at the switch in both directions. If ok then the switch is good and testing at the motor connector will condem the motor or ..wiring. Hope that helps. Bill  __THANK YOU ..HOW DO I OPEN COMPARTMENT TO GET AT SWITCH?

Hi John, If you look at the front or the rear of the switch panel you will see a small notch for a small flat blade screwdriver. Insert it in the notch and push towards the center of the switch and you should feel a spring pushing back. Push forward and pry up at the same time and the switch will release from the door panel. Then you can test the wires as the button is pushed. Hope that makes sense. Bill
