Cadillac Repair: check engine soon, torque converter clutch, check engine soon light

complete system operation,especially around transaxle. I have a 1999 cadillac selville. My check engine soon light comes on in mountainese areas shifting down and back up. transmission seems to be working good.  The light does not come on with normal freeway &street driving.

Hi Rich, You will need to get your car to a shop to find out what the trouble code(s) is/are. And then decide what needs to be fixed. Auto zone can scan the codes but you might need further diagnosis to isolate what the problem is. For example it might be a torque converter clutch code set but a wire connector at the computor that is backing out so replaceing the tcc solinoid won't fix your problem in this case. Sorry I can't be more help. Bill
