Cadillac Repair: 95 cadillac deville, amp fuse, garage door opener

Question
The interior lights that are by the sun roof and
the lights over the passeger keep blowing their 10 amp fuse. There is no particular pattern .  When this happens the lights in the front door will glow dim when you push the button to turn on the lights by the sun roof. Do you have any idea where to start looking for the short?  Or am I going to have to rewire the light system?Any help or insight would be appreciated!!!

Hi Randy, Sorry I took so long to return your e-mail. Looking at the wireing diagram I see that the garage door opener is on the same circuit. If you don't have an opener in the slot by the sunroof lights then take a flashlight and look inside the opening to make sure that there isn't anything metal inside. Otherwise maybe a part of the car was worked on recently and took awhile to rub through the wire. If those don't show anything then you will be on a search and destroy mission. There is no telling where you might find the short. The sunvisor screws have a tendancy to pinch a wire so that might be the place to start by removing both visors and seeing if a wire is damaged.
