Cadillac Repair: glove box, door keys, glove box

we have a 1999 cadillac concours.  the glove box has locked up by itself.  we have never locked it.  the key does not unlock it.  what can we do?

Hi Randy, Other than getting a locksmith to come out and try to pick the lock the only other alternative might be to break the door open and then replace the glovebox assembly. I would hope you tried all the door keys you were given for this car. The Caddy parts department could make you a new key from the factory code that is supposed to be for the lock and you could try that but it might be the same as the other keys you have. Bill
