Cadillac Repair: searching for an engine, charles alexander, low budget

I am looking for an engine for my 93 caddilac eldorado with a 4.6L northstar 9 vin. I was able to find some newer engines mostly 98-2000  but my car is a 93 and it's getting hard to find those older engines.I know some engines years are compatable I'm looking someone that can tell what fits what.also I have see a few hotroders put the 4.6 in there hot rods and I've found an engine that was a 98 gen.2 engine but the man said he had harnes adaption. so there must something available to help my problem or someone who can tell me what engines fit what years if you can help me with this I would verry much appreciate it.          thanks  Charles Alexander

Hi Charles, I don't have access to a parts book so what I would suggest is calling your local Cadillac parts department and ask that year engines will fit in your '93. They might even have a low budget rebuilt engine that would be in your price range. Otherwise the site junkyarddog.com would be a good one to check out. They have yards from across the country and can give prices and ship to your driveway all you need to do is enter some info and get ready for lots of responses. Hope that helps. Bill
