Cadillac Repair: electrical, heater fan, heat controls

my dash warning lot come on and the fuel gages and heat controls go out then the heater fan come on when     
the gages go off  then some times thay will come back on  what could the problem be    

  it is a 91 cad deville

Hi James, This is a repair that some testing and disassembly of the dash will be needed to isolate the problem and is kinda involved.The problem could be with eithor panel, the programmer, the body computor or faulty wireing and without a manual and test equipment there isn't one thing that goes bad that I could tell you to replace. There was also a service bulletin for this problem that described installing capasitors in the back of both panels but again testing would need to be done to determine the cause otherwise just replaceing parts could get expensive.
