Cadillac Repair: electric window switch, flat blade, switch panel

Question
My '97 Eldorado's driverside switch was very hard to press down. I forced it and the window came down. Now it wont work at all and doesn't click when pressed. How do I get to it to replace this switch ?

Hi WD Crawford, What you need to do is insert a small flat blade screwdriver at the rear of the switch panel between the switch panel and the door panel. You will feel a spring clip that will need to be pushed in at the same time as you pry up  and then the switch panel will pop up. Then remove the switch and wiring connector and install the new one. Install the front edge of the switch panel into the door panel opening and then push the rear sw panel down so it snaps in place. Hope that helps. Bill
