Cadillac Repair: Horn, bolt head, cadillac sedan deville

Sorry I am such an idiot about cars.  I have been writing to you aboutMy 1988 Cadillac Sedan Deville
and the problem we are having locating the horn.
You said the hush panel is under the dash on the passenger side.  How big is it?  Does it start at the firewall?  Is it a large panel or just a box?

Hi Jan, The hush panel is a 2 piece panel that completely covers the underside of the dash. It goes from the firewall to the front. I believe the drivers side is held on with 3 7mm bolt head screws and the passenger side with 5. There are some wingnuts that hold the panel on the studs at the firewall and those just twist off counter clockwise. Bill
