Cadillac Repair: 1993 mercury villager van, mercury villager, oxygen sensors

                 Loss of power,running very rough as if the fuel or oxygen sensors are bad,stalls out at stops, no power at take off,sluggish and noisy.   Easy way to diagnose if it's the sensors? Any suggestion very welcome.

Hi Frank, You posted under Cadillac instead of Mercury. The best advice I can give is if you haven't changed the fuel filter or spark plugs and wires that is where I would start and see how the performance changes. A bad map sensor, tps misadjusted, low fuel pressure, weak coil, bad injector or a malfunctioning computer will all cause these symptoms too. If the check engine light is on then have it scanned for codes and that might lead you in the right direction. If after doing a tune up it doesn't improve then it would be best to take it in and have a tech. look at it because parts will get expensive in a hurry if you just start replacing things. Good luck.
