Cadillac Repair: Electric Window, power window switch, fuse block

Question
We just got a 1992 Cadillac DeVille. The driver's side window suddenly began lowering on it's own. You can hear the switch clicking. I figure it's a short but in the meantime, I can't find the fuse box to pull the fuse on that line. I'm afraid it will rain and ruin the electronics if the window goes down when I'm not there. I ran it up last night and when I came out this morning, it was down. Suggestions?

Thanks,

Karen

Answer
Hi Karen, Your problem sounds like it could be fixed by replacing the power window switch. But until you get it looked at look under the dash by the parking brake pedal and under a small cover if there is one will be the fuse block. Remove circuit breaker 23, silver looking thing, on the rh side. That will keep the windows from going down unless there is a short in the wireing to power somewhere. Hope that helps. Bill
