to shut down, but it doesn't. I had all kind
of work done to it,but still doing the same thing
I had a distributor,fuel pump, injectors, time
change. The car is a 1990 Cadillac Sedan
Deville with a 4.5 engine.

Answer
Hi Sharon, Sounds like you eithor need to go back to the shop that did your previous work and have them do some free diagnosis or go to a Caddy dealer or other ASE certified shop that works on the Cadillacs because there are alot of differant things that can cause this problem and without performing differant checks and tests on the differant systems it would be tough to go through them with you here. One thing that the Caddy is known for is a loose or poor ground near the starter where the negative battery cable bolts to the engine block and it will cause electrical problems. Bill
