Cadillac Repair: interchangble transmission, auto recycler, cadillac seville

I have a 89 cadillac seville with a bad tranny.  Can I buy any other models transmissions to fit? and what years?

Hi Orenda, I'm not real sure about years and models. What I would suggest is calling a junk yard/auto recycler or a caddy dealer parts department and ask them that question. They should have a book or computor program that should be able to give you that information. There were changes to the electrical plug-in that will limit the years you can use and off hand couldn't say for sure with-out asking eithor. Bill
