Chevrolet Repair: 2011, equinox ls 2.4 high idle

Question
when I start the engine it goes into a very high idle for matter of seconds. Then it goes into a rough idle for 5 more seconds and then shuts down. It will not start again until you turn the key off for about 15 seconds, then repeats the same thing. The vehicle was hit on the right front buy a deer.

HI BRAD, HAVE YOU LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD LATELY ??? IF NOT, OPEN THE HOOD AND CK TO MAKE SURE THAT THE MASS AIR FLOW AND ALL OF THE DUCT WORK GOING TO THE THROTTLE BODY ARE OK..I DO NOT KNOW HOW HARD THE DEER HIT WAS, BUT IF IT WAS HARD ENOUGH IT GOOD OF DAMAGED THE INTAKE DUCT WORK LEADING TO THE THROTTLE BODY..THIS WOULD CAUSE WHAT IS GOING ON.. BUT IF YOU LOOK AT IT AND EVERYTHING LOOKS TO BE OK THEN YOUR NEXT STEP IS TO GET THIS TO A SHOP AND HAVE THEM RUN A DATA TEST ON THE PCM FOR ANY CODES IN THE SYSTEM..WITH SO LITTLE TO GO ON THIS IS MY BEST GUESS.
