Chevrolet Repair: k1500 no spark

hi tom its me again, i checked for voltage at the coil while someone turned it over. there is no pulse. the plug that comes out of harness has 12v with key on. the other other that comes from the module does not pulse when i turn it over. now this feed wire you speak of. this is the one that comes out of the harness into bottom of dist. to the module i think. you say it should have 12v key on?

HI JERIMIAH, THERE SHOULD BE PULSE FROM THE PICK COIL TO THE MAIN COIL WHEN ENG IS CRANKING ON THE NEG SIDE OF COIL..IF NOT THE PICK-UP COIL SOUNDS FAULTY..I WISH I WAS AT WORK TO GET YOU A WIRING DIAGRAM TO CK FOR OHMS READINGS..DO YOU HAVE A OHM METER??IF SO UNPLUG TO PICK UP COIL LEADS AND I AM 90% SURE THE READINGS IN OHMS SHOULD BE 500-1500..I HAVE A BILLION QUESTIONS TO GET TO BUT YOU MAY WANT TO TRY AND LOOK THIS UP ON GOOGLE..LET ME KNOW WHAT THE READING IS. IN THE WORSE CASE I WILL LOOK THIS UP AT FOR YOU AT WORK MON MORN..IS THIS A GM REBUILD DIST ?? OR AFTERMARKET..IF AFTERMARKET I HAVE SEEN MANY FAILED PARTS WITH THESE UNITS..THE FACT THAT THE GAUGES WORK CORRECT ON YOUR DASH TELLS ME THE IGN SWITCH IS GOOD..THIS WAS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR TRUCK...LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU FIND,, IT IS JUST IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO REMEMBER THESE KIND OF SPECS IN MY HEAD...LOL GOOD LUCK TOM...
