Chevrolet Repair: Duramax issues

Hi Tom it's Chris again. I've got a 2001 D-max that has been idling pretty rough. Today I serviced it. Grease, oil, etc. now it won't start. I filled the fuel filter and pumped the primer on it and still nothing. Is it ok to use starting fluid or do you not recommend that

HI CHRIS, I AM NOT THE GUY TO ASK ABOUT DIESEL PROBLEMS.....HOWEVER THIS ONE QUESTION I CAN ANSWER...NEVER USE STARTING FLUID ON A DIESEL..THE COMPRESSION ON THESE ENGINES ARE TO MUCH FOR STARTING FLUID..THIS CAN DO ALL KINDS OF INTERNAL PROBLEMS...GOOD LUCK TO YOU,,,TOM.....
