Chevrolet Repair: chev. silveroado 2005 oil pressure, oil pressure sending unit, pressure oil

oil pressure runs at 60 on gauge but this morning was pegged out at 80 on gauge. what could cause this? thank you.

GOOD MORNING ROBERT,,THIS IS A EASY ONE.THE OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT IS GOING BAD..THIS SENDING UNIT IS BEHIND THE INTAKE MANIFOLD ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE ENG BLOCK..ONLY REPLACE THIS WITH A GM SENDING UNIT TO MAKE YOUR LIFE HAPPY.NOT THE EASIEST TO GET AT.. GOOD LUCK TO YOU,,,TOM...
