Chevrolet Repair: 1991 Chevy pickup stalls when engine hot, electronic control module, coolant temp

I have a 1991 chevy pickup extended cab with a long box the motor is a 305 when the motor is hot the truck act as to stall out when slowing down and is very hard to restart if you shut it off after this happens, if you try to restart it while truck is hot, the motor turns over very hard almost like frose up or dead batt, but will still start. if you let the engine cool down it starts beautiful. It will idle just fine and run fine going down the road but still stalls almost to the point of dying, then it revs high and calms back to normal idol. Has new exhaust put on, new plugs, wires, cap rotor, new ign. electronic control module in distrib, new coolant temp sensor, new pcv valve.  Is it possible the pickup coil is getting bad or does it sound like something else, maybe egr?  I can unplug that egr and it idols uo higher but the engine still has the problem.  Any help on ideas would be great, as well as how to proceed with those ideas.

HI TOM,GREAT NAME BY THE WAY!!!! FIRST OFF LETS TALK ABOUT CRANKING OVER WHEN ENGINE IS HOT. THIS IS ONE OF 2 THINGS,BAD BATTERY CABLES,CORRODED OR BAD OR LOOSE GROUND CABLES. LAST IS GOING TO BE A BAD STARTER...CK THESE AND GET BACK TO ME. IT IS ALSO POSSIBLE THAT THERE IS A BIG BUILD UP OF CARBON ON THE PISTONS CAUSING MORE COMPRESSION THAT WHAT IT SHOULD HAVE. THIS HOWEVER IS RARE. WE WILL GET BACK TO THAT AT A LATER DATE IF NEEDED. THE PICK UP COIL WILL CAUSE A STALL PROBLEM BUT WILL NOT RESTART UNTILL IT COOLS OFF AND MAY NOT START AT ALL. THE FACT THAT IT STALLS AND RESTARTS SOUNDS LIKE EGR STICKING OPEN[CK TO MAKE SURE YOUR VALVE IS CLOSED ALL THE WAY AND THEN UNPLUG IT,SEE IF THIS HELPS. IDLE AIR CONTROL MOTOR COULD ALSO CAUSE THIS..HOWEVER IF YOU ARE HAVING STARTING ISSUES THIS MAYBE YOUR PROBLEM WITH THE STALLING. IF FUEL INJ LOOSES GROUND OR A 12 VOLT SIGNAL THIS CAN CAUSE ALL KINDS OF PROBLEMS.
