Chevrolet Repair: 1996 S10 Fuel injector(spider), fuel pressure regulator, fuel inj


Question
I replaced (spider) fuel injector & fuel pressure regulator assembly on my truck yesterday ran great.
Today drove to work fine after work tried to start found that #3 & # 5 Cylinders fill with gas(hydro-lock)any idea what would be causing this????

HI TONY,IS THIS THE REASON YOU REPLACED THE INJECTOR ASSEMBLY IN THE FIRST PLACE ?? DID YOU REPLACE THIS WITH A GM PARTS ??? THE FIRST THING THAT COMES TO MIND IS THAT THE 3&5 INJECTORS DID NOT CLOSE WHEN TURNED OFF. SO ALL THE RESIDUAL FUEL ENDED UP IN THESE CYLINDERS. EVEN THOUGH THIS IS NEW DOES NOT MEAN IT CAN'T HAPPEN. I HAVE HAD A COUPLE THAT THIS HAS HAPPENENED TO ME,ONLY WITH 1 INJECTOR NOT 2, AND BOTH ASSEMBLIES WERE NOT GM. THERE REALLY IS NOTHING ELSE THEN CAN CAUSE THIS,UNLESS THE PCM IS SENDING A PULSE TO THE INJECTORS WHEN KEY IS OFF. TO CK THIS REMOVE A BATTERY POST AND LET IS SIT OVER NIGHT, IF PROBLEM IS GONE THEN PCM IS TO BLAME OR INJECTOR HARNESS HAS POWER TO IT WHEN OFF,GETTING POWER FROM SOME SOURCE..IF PROBLEM IS STILL PRESENT AFTER REMOVING THE POST, THE FUEL INJ IS BAD..I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU,DON'T HESITATE TO GET BACK TO ME IF YOU NEED MORE INFO.
