Chevrolet Repair: Chevy Tahoe Sway Bar Links, sway bar link, rubber bushings

Question
How do I get the sway bar link between the arms?  When I lift one, the control arm gets in the way - cannot get the spacer and rubber bushings to fit...and vice versa when I let it down...or the reverse.

Answer
Hi April....you don't say what year it is so is it one piece link or 4 bushings with washers and a spacer....usually the 4 piece....take it apart...from the underside of the control arm you start...put washer and one bushing on the link put up thru hole in control arm install bushing then washer from other side then install spacer then another washer then rubber bushing install sway bar then another rubber then washer then nut... tighten nut and repeat for the other side....i cannot send you a pic over this link but you may find one on the net or go to local dealer they are pretty friendly these days and get them to print you a diagram...hope this helps
