Chevrolet Repair: 1997 Chevy Blazer S-10 (4.3), chevy blazer, fuel pump relay

My truck starts right up when it is cold but if I turn it off and try to turn it on again while it's warm, it doesn't fire up right away. I have to hold the key for at least 20 seconds or longer before it fires up over. Do you know why it only starts up right if it is cold.

Hi Jess.... could be a couple of things....check fuel pressure cold and hot...is there a differance. what oil are you using in the engine...once warm is the oil pressure lower than cold...fuel pump has a default in it if fuel relay is bad oil pressure will turn on the pump...so check the fuel pump relay... check the ign module and or coil for breaking down...check wining connections for corrosion to the ign system, check for any codes in the computer...hope this helps
