Question
i have replaced the fuel pump, the regulator, and the fuel filter and my truck will still not start. i sprayed starting fluid in the carborator and it starts but sounds like there is no fuel going to the engine. what should i try next on this. and none of my lines are pinch either. help me i have been without my truck for 3 weeks now and i need help please and thank you!!!

Answer
Hi Shane... first check to see if you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail, disconnect the line at the throttle body and turn key on... if you have fuel there check the pressure.make sure it is within spec. i believe that it should be somewhere around 38 to 45 lbs, if memory serves me right. if no fuel and/or no pressure make sure you didn't mix up the fuel lines when you replaced the pump...if you have no fuel and everything is ok check fuel pump relay. pump should come on for 3 sec when you turn key on...check power at pump it should be live for 3 sec, check for bad ground at the pump....if all this is ok truck should run....if not check  for inj pulse when cranking engine...if no pulse check ign module....hope this helps
