Chevrolet Repair: 2003 trail blazer cooling fan, clutch assembly, fan clutch

i have a 2003 trail blazer 4wd ltz that the engine cooling fan will not shut off it caused the engine light to come and when i went to auto zone they said it was the fan sensor going out could that be the only problem and were is it located

Answer
The fan sensor is part of the fan assembly.  There's is actually a Dealer Service Bulletin to replace the entire fan clutch assembly.  Pretty pricey I know.  It's not a Campaign so you will have to pay for it, but the GM bulletin said to replace the fan clutch assembly.
